3. 4. 2011 Horváthová Ivana Tips for trips

imgOne of the most visited castles in South Bohemia, towering on a rocky island above the pond surface, has been to its present form rebuilt during the romantic Neo-Gothic reconstruction in the 40th-60th of the 19th century and also during construction work in the Renaissance style in the early 20th century. The last owners were members of the family castle Schönburg - Hartenstein in whose possession the castle was since 1835 until 1945.

The castle hides in its core remains of the fortress from the 14th century. Today's renaissance building was established in 1530 and was further modified several times. Castle interiors of the first floor have disposal from 80 years of the 17th century. They represent nowadays the authentic aristocratic owners of an apartment last time around 1910.

Part of the chateau complex is landscaped park, which acquired its present appearance in the 19th and 20th centuries. His biggest valuable assets is certainly Castle Pond, which offers boat rental.

On the hill in the park stands an ancient chapel of the Holy Trinity. The Shrine is Roman Catholic church with a functional agendas and regular worship. It is a favorite place religious wedding ceremonies.
